Shizuoka University offers a short-term summer study abroad program for language study and cross-cultural awareness and understanding. The program, tailored for Japanese students, is available at three universities: the University of Nebraska in Omaha in the U.S., the University of Alberta in Canada, and Chosun University in Gwangju, Korea.
Intensive English language programs at the University of Nebraska and the University of Alberta last about one month, and include two weeks of full-time language training and sightseeing tours around the cities of Omaha and Alberta. A home-stay program is available while attending the summer program at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. Chosun University offers intensive Korean language and a rich in-country cultural orientation.
